another interesting campaign arround the FIFA world cup
Electronic Arts has put online a controversial (and therefore viral) advertainment website to promote its Fifa World Cup videogame. The idea of Jung Von Matt is to allow Germans to make fun of Dutch people and incidentally discover the new videogame.
The mini-site offers the chance to submit user generated choirs against the Orange team, as well as to send condolences messages to the Dutch football fans.
On top of the minisite, there is also a Tv spot which previews what will happen in Berlin if Holland would win the championship.
Electronic Arts, ha puesto online un sitio web bastante controvertido para promocionar su videojuego FIFA WORLD CUP. La idea de Jung Von Matt es permitir a los alemanes meterse de una forma divertida con los seguidores holandeses, e indirectamente descubrir el juego y sus novedades.
Esta pequeña web ofrece la posibilidad de generar un usuario que genera “coros” en contra del equipo holandés, a los cuales se les pueden enviar también mensajes de pesame a los seguidores del equipo alemán.
Además, en la página de inicio de esta “minisite” hay un anuncio de TV que nos muestra lo que pasaría en Berlin si Holanda ganase el mundial.

Every day, we invent different ways to appear and be remembered in any media network. Today we are doing things or inventing things to be on the internet, an in the blogworld. Consecuence of that is that information allways ends up on the street.
The general idea of these campaign is very old and simple, “team fans making fun to the other team”, but we have to say that the way is fun and different, and i think people will talk about that.
Realmente, cada día se inventan diferentes maneras de hacer ruido en cualquier medio. Hoy estamos en la era de inventar cosas para hacer ruido en internet, y por lo tanto en la blogosfera, consecuencia de que las cosas acaben en un boca a boca.
La idea general o concepto de esta campaña es muy viejo y sencillo, “rivalidad entre dos equipos de fútbol”, pero hay que decir que el como lo hacen es divertido, y puede dar mucho de que hablar.
